Matthews: “I don’t think we are doing enough. It’s certainly high on my agenda and I’m very conscientious of waste. But as a church, we don’t have an organized effort — except in my Sunday school class, where I really push it!”
Voyle: “We are planning, on St. Francis Day, to [bless animals] at the 10 o’clock service, and the theme is stewardship of creation. Because we are blessing all the animals, the environment is coming to us.”
Washington: “We have a committee on the stewardship of creation and we do consultations to congregations on light bulbs and recycling paper. We do a huge conference every year about ways you can save the environment.”
