The 27th Annual Conference of the Bennett J. Sims Institutue for Servant Leadership - "Practicing Peace: Creative Responses to Violence" will take place April 11-13 at Kanuga Conferences in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Global tensions are high and the rhetoric of war fills the air. The world seems increasingly dependent upon violence as the solution to human ills. Isn's it time that we as a nation question ourselves about our role in the world and our purpose as a people? Who are we? And what are we becoming? All our speakers offer creative suggestions for breaking the cycles of violence and practicing peace in our daily lives.
Speakers will include James Carroll, Helen Prejean, Walter Wink and June Keener Wink, Mpho Tutu and Bishop Charles Jenkins.
