Evangelical & Ecumenical Women's Caucus Conference: A Place at the Table 2008

The three-day conference theme reflects EEWC's longstanding position and commitment to compassion, equality, and justice for all people. This position is based on Galatians 3:28, "There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female, for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." (NSRV)
The conference offers in-depth discussions in theology and justice issues, as well as programs for personal and spiritual development. Featured speakers at the 2008 conference include noted author and speaker Phillip Gulley, Reverend Elder Nancy L. Wilson of Metropolitan Community Churches, Dr. Reta Halteman of MessiahCollege, renowned author Dr. Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, and Dr. Alena Amato Ruggerio of SouthOregonUniversity. On Saturday, June 28, well-known singer, songwriter and peace activist Carrie Newcomer will perform. A Sunday morning worship service will feature a sermon given by Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson.
The registration fee, if completed by April 15, 2008, is $165 and includes all sessions plus lunch Friday and Saturday. Registration after April 15th is $220 per person. The mission of EEWC is to support, educate, and celebrate Christian feminists from many traditions. The organization’s purpose is to encourage and advocate the use of all people’s gifts in all forms of Christian vocation, to provide educational opportunities for Christian feminists to grow in their belief and understanding, and to promote networking and mutual encouragement within the Christian community.
