Torture. Slavery. Injury. Physical and emotional abuse. Women throughout the world carry the death of God in their bodies, the scars of persecution, injustice and cultural inequality. WomanKind 2008 will explore the multitude of ways we carry death in order to make visible God's life. In our bodies. In our lives. In our nations and in our world.
WomanKind: Faith, Family and Future was conceived by the Episcopal Church Women of St. James' Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia, in 2004 as a way to bring together women in all their diversity to share their experiences, insights and questions on the path toward spiritual renewal.
