Event Description: Experience the quiet, discipline and community of a contemplative retreat sponsored by the Friends of St. Benedict and the Episcopal Diocese of California.  The retreat will take place at the Bishop's Ranch in Healdsburg, CA, Sunday, July 5 to Sunday, July 12.  This is the 24th Benedictine Experience at Bishop's Ranch.

The Experience is a time to nurture and strengthen our daily lives through prayer and spiritual companionship.  Modeled after the balance way of life set out by St. Benedict in his Rule, participants take part in an ordered day of prayer, study, work and leisure.  The presenters will be Sr. Donald Corcoran, OSB, who has been a Benedictine nun for 40 years, and the Very Rev. Dom Robert Hale, OSB, Prior Emeritus of New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur.  Special consideration will be given to the role of sacred music led by John Renke, Director of Music at St. Andrew's Cathedral in Honolulu.
