The workshop will engage participants in a discussion on the subject of discernment and identifying God given gifts and talents for ministry. They will have an opportunity to share their own perspectives and to reflect upon various passages of scriptures to examine the many ways in which God calls us into a place of revelation and recognition.

Telling the Christian Story

Stories from our lives and cultures can be windows to the Christian story. This workshop will share participants the contexts. the contents, and the conduits of story-telling. Special emphasis will be given on the differences of oral, literate and technological cultures and how we can reach out to people from various cultures and nationalities with the unifying message of Christ from our personal stories. Fred Vergara is officer for Asian American Ministries in the Episcopal Church.
