The United Thank Offering is a vital volunteer mission arm of the Episcopal Church reaching out to the whole church with a message of the joy and power of prayer. The United Thank Offering Committee is chosen triennially and their administrative support comes through the UTO office at the Episcopal Church Center. The committee works through the Diocesan UTO Coordinators by supporting their work with parishes and dioceses of encouraging daily prayers of thanksgiving, with the outward and visible sign being the use of the Blue Box. Every penny given goes into grants, which are awarded yearly. These grants, which go to places throughout the Anglican Communion, are gifts of love made possible by thankful people.
