"The Viva EVA (Live Out Loud) Conference is a conference completely held in Spanish, designed specifically for the Latina Woman ranging in ages from fourteen up. This conference intends to approach issues and themes that affect Latina women, within the context of life in general, life in community, and the impact of the Kingdom of Christ in relationship to the female gender.
This conference will be held November 6-7, 2009, at Christ Church Cathedral. The cost is only $25 per person if your registration arrives by October 16, 2009. After this date, the cost will be $30 per person. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Magnolia Hotel, which is located right across from the Cathedral: very convenient for the out of town participants. A special flat rate of $119 per room has been secured and each room will have two queen-size beds, so, if needed, the rooms can be shared.
Viva EVA will offer to the Latina Women of our region the opportunity that will spark the discovery, recognition, and reaffirmation of the beauty, strength and the vast array of gifts and talents which God has poured upon women, as the masterpiece of God’s creation. In creating women in God’s own image, the divine plan is made manifest in women, as the beloved daughter of our Creator.
A series of workshops, presentations, as well as the opportunities to exchange ideas and knowledge, will be the basic components of this conference. Music, liturgy, and praise will bring up great inspiration in such a way that the “Eve” of our day will continue learning to live, in full plenitude, the purposes for which God created them; simply fabulous!
